The past two weeks, it's been the defense carry this team to a victory and while today they struggled, we got good pressure when needed.

The good news is we have yet to get a full team effort and a complete game by all sides.

4-4 baby.

My fantasy team is fine with Drew throwing 7 TD's a game the rest of the way. We should try that from here on out.

I'm with you. I don't know what was going on with them today but they played a hell of a game last week outside of Breaux tripping up a couple of plays. One of them not really his fault with their receiver slowing up and baiting him into contact.

One week they look like they are really putting it together and the next they look like one of the worst in the NFL. They have to work on the penalties in the secondary. It's laughable how many there are between Breaux and Browner. At least Breaux is a rookie. Browner has no excuse.

Missing Ellerbe hurt, and then Humber goes out, and we lose Swann and Kikaha in the game.

Besides all of that, both offenses were just dialed in. This was a rare game.

Yeah I think Breaux will be great soon. With him it feels like his penalties can be fixed because he's all over receivers downfield and just has to learn to use his hands a little less. Browner just seems like if he doesn't hold then he'd get burnt down the field every play. Not a whole lot you can do to correct that.

This too. Our defense is not that bad. Guys were just making great catches with Eli making great throws and playing a hell of a game. I will say our Dbs need to learn some ball skills though. It seems like the picks are there to be had but they constantly make bad moves to the ball or jump themselves out of the play.

I agree. Breaux just needs to learn what he can and can't get away with and use it to his advantage.

I find myself with Breaux holding my breath. He is feast or famine.

I like where he is headed and I can also live a penalty or two from browned on some days. He just really seems to be getting targeted by the refs.

This defense is not that bad imo and we have progressed up until yesterday and I still think they did enough at certain points

I agree, I don't think this was a big indictment on either defense. I mean yeah they gave up a shite ton of yards and points, but like you said, I think both offenses were just so on in trying to top the other it just ended up that way
