No matter whose fault it is, what a 2-0 start could have meant

Falcons and Chargers next two weeks. Two winnable games against comparable teams. A split at worst is realistic, giving you 3-1 or 4-0 going into the bye week.
Next 4 games: Two probable home losses to Carolina and Seattle. Two winnable road games against KC and SF. 1-3 in this stretch is likely. That puts you at 4-4/5-3 at the halfway point
Next 4 games: Panthers road loss. Probable home win vs. Rams (even though the Rams ALWAYS play Payton teams hard). Split with Denver with Detroit. 6-6/7-5 going into the 2nd week of December.
Final 4 games: Tampa Bay twice and Atlanta. These two teams could be playing out the string by then. Even with a loss to Arizona, 3-1 would not have been unreasonable if the season plays out the right way.
Final record: 9-7/10-6 IF they start out 2-0.
What do they have to do to get there with an 0-2 start? Basically, there is ZERO room for error.
1. You MUST get to the bye week at 2-2.
2. Sweep SF and KC in the 2nd 4 games or pull one home game out of your arse vs. Carolina or Seattle.
3. Sweep Denver and Detroit in the 3rd 4 games.
4. Sweep Tampa Bay AND Atlanta. Period.

I think we can hang with anybody in the league right now.
This team is gonna get better.

Atlanta is on the road beating the Raiders.

Raiders are banged up from playing us last weekend. They're spent.

So Atlanta is 7 points better than Oakland after three quarters? That's comparable to the Saints, right?

Beating Seattle or Carolina at home should not surprise anyone. Seattle isn't that good and we almost beat Carolina at home last year with a defense that was much worse

HOWEVER, the Saints also lost at home to Tampa week 2 when Tampa/Winston were garbage, and then they lost to Tennessee.
So if they beat Carolina at home, they'd probably go to KC the very next week and lose by 20. That's what the Saints have become. Slow starters. Then they do enough to tease you and get back in it. And then the very moment you start believing again, they go out and get their asses kicked.

If Drew doesn't get hurt in week 2 we easily win that game.

Every game we win this year does nothing but worsen our draft pick. That's all.
