First, he was trying a legal play and screwed up

Second, Mathieu does not have a history of dirty plays

It's kind of hard not to have a sense of humor with all these mad people up in here

continued from other board:

You are cheering a player that tries to injure someone after a play, but criticize a fan that hopes Fairley breaks his leg.

You are a hypocrite.

pick someone up while intending to slam them down and have someone blow a whistle midplay and see if you have the reaction time to not throw them to the ground...he had no way to stop himself really...if anything I'm not saying this as an AU fan but as someone who hates the Saints...but ask anyone outside the Saints fanbase and they will tell you that play was legit

Hoping for someone's career to get ended due to injury is cool.

I don't support this, but his tackle was after the whistle and he lifted the dude off the ground. It was borderline at the very least.

I know you aren't supporting Fairley doing stupid shite and just defending him from the rantards. I do support this. Rantards are bad for your health.

So...slamming a guy is trying to hurt him? I don't want Fairley to end anyone's career if he can help it, but freak accidents happen all the time in every sport. Had it been ANY other player from Detroit, nothing would've been said. Everything that Fairley does is put under a microscope and multiplied x's 10. It doesn't matter what he does.

And yes, you are a frickhead if you wish injury to someone based on a football game. His play would have been worshipped back in the 50's and 60's. Good lord, the new "rules" have made some of you so sensitive.
