Per cbs sports

Seriously, we can't even go 1 off-season without a major injury

Jennifer Hale @JenHale504

Saints DT Nick Fairley has been absent from OTA's bc of medical issues. Tests show heart trouble that could jeopardize future of his career.

Damn. Sorry to hear this for Nick. Plus with him a Rankins I think the pass rush would have been great up the middle.

Obviously hope he is ok and that's the number 1 priority.

What does this do to our cap should he have to retire?

Also call up Ego Ferguson or Jared Odrick asap.

I know it's completely unrelated to it, but there's a training staff joke in there somewhere.

This is his 2nd season. He signed a new contract this past off season.

Probably best to see him get help outside our medical staff. They can't get someone on the field with a turf toe. I could only imagine someone with a heart condition.

We drafted 2 DT's(1st & 4th round) in 2016 & 1(5th round) in 2015. What more do you want?

Not much this year, but it opens up a lot for 2018, 2019, & 2020.

Go get Tony McDaniel . Veteran in Seattle last year 43 tackles at DT 6'7 305. Strong guy he can anchor the middle and make it hard to pass through the middle with his height.

$8 million gets spread within 4 years. If cut after this season it’d count as $6 million in dead money with a $1 million savings.
