This sucker can run with the ball in his hands

Dare I say, Dez Bryant?

Same body type. Dez might have a step of quickness on him, but not by much. Both are extremely good at yac plays. This guy just knows how to get the ball - exactly what we needed.

Great knack for making the first tackler miss.

Todd McShay said he wouldnt be surprised if everyone looked at Thomas five years from now and said he was one of the top 2-3 receivers in this draft.

I dont expect Dez Bryant. But I am happy with the pick. He can play, he is from a football family, he's competitive as shite and has nice size and his run after catch is impressive for a guy his size and the thing is, he has the frame to add 10 pounds.

Why was this downvoted three times? Must be the same morons that wanted Reed

Would have been nice to have Reed but people fail to realize there can only be two DTs on the field at the same time and Fairley isn't some bum. He's a good player and might be worth signing to an extension if he tears it up.

Also, our WR corps are shite and our offense isn't what it used to be. We desperately needed a WR and anyone who does not agree is fooling themselves. We may have had a top 10 offense statistically last year, but if you watched the games then you know that isn't true. We struggled a lot offensively last year.

I know it's just a highlight film, but how the frick can you not be excited about this pick and hate it; the dude's a damn beast. And not only is he going to produce himself, he's going to make Cooks that much better, and his job a lot easier.

Its a good pick, i think most ppl just wanted more help on the defense thats been near or at the bottom of the league statistically lately.

I believe before draft day 2 I posted in the wide receiver thread I felt he was the best all around receiver remaining.. because of his size/speed/determination.

I am okay with getting him.

Yeah it's a lot more realistic than Dez Bryant

Sandwiched right between them. Dez-like measurables, with a more Crabtree-esque play style and per ball production. Can't wait to get this guy into our offense.

Listen... I know I melted after the Rankins pick... Or rather, after Treadwell was gone...

But this pick makes up for it! God damn I love this pick so much. Thomas is a stud.

Very impressive. This kid can cut on a dime. Drew Brees is a happy man today. Thomas will make an immediate impact, and be very productive for the Saints for years to come. Great addition!

This is a steal. If people had issues with him last year, blame the OSU quarterback carousel for that one. Maybe the most underrated part of his game is his ability to adjust to an off-line throw. Has a knack for spatial awareness.

Also one of the strongest at the combine.
While his 40 time was ok his 3-cone and short shuttle were right there with Doctson.
And like every one else you notice his catches away from the body.
Merry Christmas Drew. Your stats just got fatter

From everything I've read and seen, this guy is a very strong pick at the 47th spot. I get that people wanted another defensive player, but if this guy solidifies the receiving corps on offense, he'll end up helping the defense.
