no game before or since has ever came close to replicating the feeling in and around the dome.
Better than Tulane Stadium, too?
The only Tulane Stadium play that comes close was Dempsey's 63-yard last-second game-winning FG on Nov. 8, 1970. I was only 7 but I remember. (43 years ago tomorrow :)
But even if the stadium had been full for that kick, I still doubt it would surpass Gleason's punt block.
It may have come close to Hartley's FG though.
I was lucky enough to be at all 3 of those games.
 And yet another game (or play, specifically) that comes close was Hebert's TD pass to Eric Martin to give the Saints an early 7-0 lead over the Vikings in their first-ever playoff game in January of '88. That was LOUD...
