The upgrades and foreseeable economic conditions keep this thought off the radar for many years.

I can only think of two scenarios one good, one bad...

-if the Saints went on a Patriots style run of Super Bowls, say 3 in 5 years, the revenue picture, and overall atmosphere might warrant it. How about just knock the lid off the Dome and put a retractable one?

-if the heightened terror alert this weekend resulted in a big bomb hit, a new structure might be more cost effective than repairs for massive damage.

There is nothing wrong with the 'dome.

Repeat

There is nothing wrong with the 'dome.

It's a beautiful facility.
It's in a great location.
It has a great capacity.
It's a Superbowl magnet.

If I had one gripe it would be the lack of a place to do some proper tailgaiting.

not predicting or hoping. I think they would want to do NY or a 90,000+ college game before low media scale NOLA. There had been intercepted chatter concerning stadiums. That is the reason for scaled up security this weekend and the only reason I mentioned it.

If they build a new stadium they need to stick it where the Iberville projects are currently located. But that makes too much sense for it to actually happen.
