Care to share any reasoning why?

It doesn't have me jumping out of my chair but its certainly not garbage.

Billings is not worthy of a top 15 pick, Jones is ok but to me a later 2nd round pick. Tapper and Mcgovern not a bad value. I think the first two picks are not to my liking but that's just me.

Well, I certainly like the positions in that mock.

DT, DE, G, LB

First two picks are horrible. He has us reaching for players just to fill need. And while Tampa Bay does need a DE, he has them passing up two other positions of need with higher ranked players than Shaq Lawson, OT Ronnie Stanley and CB Vernon Hargreaves. And since Tampa signed Robert Ayers and Brent Grimes in free agency, I can't see them passing up Ronnie Stanley.

Rounds 3 isn't horrible, although I think Tapper may only be a workout warrior. He's climbing mock draft board because of his combine performance, but supposedly he produced very little in college.

I do like McGovern in round 4

Numerous people have Deion Jones as a fringe 1st round pick so landing him in the 2nd would be a solid spot for him. With that said, I'd be pretty ticked off if this is how the draft played out.

Guess some people don't like Jones, but I would be happy to go Rankins and Jones first 2 picks.

I like the positions, just not the players.

Combine is pointless if it is not backed up by on field production. Players could also take plays off, not play hard and blow up at the combine.
The opposite is true too. A player could have played against lesser competition and their poor 40 yard dash is revealed in the combine.
The combine should support on field production.

The positions look right, but I don't know anything about anyone besides Jones. I would like him.

Trade down 5 spots and still get Billings.

Ehh. I wouldn't nitpick too much over 5 picks order difference. Pick 12 vs 17 whatever. Same thing for the guy who said Jones should be a later 2nd round pick than we have. If you think he's going to be a good player and he fills a need then you pick him, unless some one else is avaliable who you think would be a lot better. If he's a good pick at 17 then he's a good pick at 12. This isn't an exact science, and you can't control enough to trade into the pick where you think his exact value is.

Couldn't have said it better. The "trade down and pick him" talk gets so old. You can't force a team to trade up, and you risk losing out on that player you like. With that being said, when's the last time the Saints have traded down at any point in the draft, especially the 1st round
