And he missed time. The redskins selected 23 year old Josh Doctson with the 20th? pick last year. We've been had.

That's the way the Saints tried to use him his rookie year. It didn't work. If Pats fans think New England is going to get more out of an offensive player than the Saints, they haven't been paying attention. When offensive Saints players under Sean Payton leave they're production goes down, not up. Same as New England with defensive players.

Would he really want to take that kind of beating? The patriots wideouts are always hurt for a reason. Short and weigh a buck O' two.

Name 1 player who left us with multiple 1000 yard seasons and busted elsewhere.

3rd in receiving yards for a tight end in his one healthy season and a pro bowl. What a bust...

What they're banking on is Josh McDaniels being a better playcaller than CSP + Pete Carmichael

Cooks is one of the best field stretchers in the NFL. He'll do well for them to let Gronk and the white boys do work in the short game. They haven't had anyone that could do that in years, possibly since Moss.

He isn't going to suddenly learn how to do work in the short game/gadget runs.

Pats will have an elite offense, but I could see Cooks's numbers actually going down.

Saints's offense will take a step back, but will still be top 5 or 6. Improved OLine (Peat improving, TA healthy, Warford replacing Jarhi) will be big in the pass and run game. MT will improve over his rookie season.

The trade makes a lot of sense for both teams, but the Saints have a lot of pressure on them to hit on 32.

Can't wait to see Cocks demand a trade once Brady retires.

Never said they bust elsewhere. The quotes from the New England fans make it seem like they think all of a sudden they will get more out of a former Saints offensive player than the Saints did. That doesn't happen.

So you think he'll get more yards in an offense that doesn't throw for as many yards? I mean...maybe. I don't think so though.

When Brady plays a full season and has the weapons, they throw the ball "for as many yards." Gronkowski and Cooks for a full season will open up that offense again.

I think he will get even less targets then he did when he was here because they have better talented underneath receivers as well as TE. yes ours are good but theirs are much better if being honest.

I see them as using him much like the saints did, as a clear out deep threat receiver only thrown to 4 or 5 times a game or if a coverage is blown, so it opens up all the underneath stuff for everyone else, and that is where the ball will be going to 95% of the time.

so in reality, I think cooks gets the ball far less with the pats then he ever did here, which is ironic, since his outburst about wanting the ball more is going to make him even less of the center of attention on offense then when he was here with us.

I'm taking cooks in my fantasy league this year so he'll probably have 22 catches for 320 yards and 2 TDs for the season

Right, it's not a knock on Cooks.

Brady will throw it ~600 times a season. If Edelman and Gronk are fully healthy, they will command 300 targets. His RBs will see another 100.

~200 targets to Cooks, Amendola, Hogan, Mal Mitchell, Dwayne Allen.

Is Cook a guarantee to see the 123 targets he averaged the last two seasons?

His production in yards and receptions could drop by 20% and he will still be a major impact on the NE offense....
I kinda think Bilicheck knows what he's doing

Right so a 20% drop in production does not pan out to 1800 yards and 15 TDs.....this is a shot at delusional NE fans not the greatest coach ever. He's gonna be great in their offense but not in the way that Cooks wants to be great

Haha. Ha.

How many 5k yard seasons does Brady have? Now do Brees. Yeah.

The Saints throw for a lot of yards. It's what they do.
