Loved his Saints, He passed on their Bye week and I found it fitting he didn’t wan’t us to suffer 2 broken hearts in case they lost. He really really really loves his Saints. I’m going to miss him dearly, I regret not watching more games with him and taking him for granted bc I thought he’d always be here.

Hug yours a little tighter today. If you can, share that moment with yours bc I will sure have a huge hole in my heart this Sunday.

My prayers are with you and your family. I lost my father October of last year he was the reason I love footbal and Saints. Now when I watch the games without him it just feels different like a part of the game and joy is gone. I'm still gonna watch and bad as we are right now cause I if he was here he would be watching.

Of all the games I've attended over the years the only one I ever attended with my father was the most memorable one. He taught me how to find something positive out of a negative situation. I was grumbling before the kickoff about the Saints not being very good and they were playing the Cowboys and they were going to get stomped. He pointed out that he was looking forward to seeing a Pro Football game with some of the best athletes in the world. I was a young boy and Archie was in his rookie season. By the end of the game the Saints had beaten the Cowpokes 24-14 and I had gotten to see Archie, Danny Abramowicz, Bob Pollard and Richard Neal for the Saints. I also witnessed Roger Staubach take over the reigns for Craig Morton and watched Bob Lilly. Bob Hayes Lee Roy Jordan play and Mike Ditka playing t.e. That day I was able to learn to focus not only on the game itself but on the individual battles and get a better appreciation of the game and of life in general.

Sorry to hear. Hope you got to watch the Super Bowl win with him. I know that was a great moment for a lot of fathers/sons, etc.

Sorry for your loss.

Mine died of cancer at Baptist Hospital in NOLA during a Saints MNF home game vs Philly.

(‘89, Saints won 30-20)

A person has a 0.6% chance of dying during a Saints regular season game and the old man pulled it off.

I did. I remember going outside their house and screaming so loudly.

Our bond was so special, it was unspoken. I’ll miss him so much. But we’ll be fine. He’s with me. I feel him with me.

Please accept my condolences for your loss. I pray that the memories of a loving Dad lighten the heavy hearts that you all must feel since his passing.
My mother passed one month ago, so I know what you're going through.
