A strait up trade for Strief? Grab another pick or veteran on defense?

He resigned his contract last year but there were teams interested in him. What we have now is 2 or 3 linemen who are flexible enough to slide over in a pinch.

I see Peat as a starter at LT out of the gate. We didn't draft that kid to sit him. Scouts say he's day one ready. Armstead moves to right tackle, and Strief gets moved for more defense. That would give us the most athletic tackles in the league.

I love Strief as a player and a Saint, but he's no athlete like those two guys. He can't get out front on those screens to block for Spiller. Get some value while you can.

Grab Collins at 44, and keep Strief as insurance along our line.

They will likely start him out at R.T. but give him some practice at L.T. He is projected by some analysts to have the capabilities to eventually step into the L.T. spot.

You don't keep Strief for insurance at an average of $4 million a year, with guaranteed money. If they truly don't envision any of them moving to guard, I wouldn't be shocked if they move him for a pick if someone is interested. It's hard for me to envision them either drafting a guy at #13 to sit him for a year or benching Armstead or Strief.
