He and gronk healthy will tear shite up.

Especially with new England having so many other slot and short yard guys.

Really wish we could have kept him, but Ramcyzk seems like he's infinitely more important to brees right now.

Trey Hendrickson was part of that trade as well

I agree, I'm glad to have Ramcyzk as well. I just can't believe one guy can be such a petty bitch over one game with no catches. I hate it even more that we sent him to New England instead of somewhere like Cleveland, Jacksonville or the Jets.

You guys on here are a trip, Cooks did nothing opposite of any play making Wr in that last 20 years. All he said was "turn into a businessman," it's not like he was screaming at the coaches or calling them out while conducting post game interviews.

Honestly, the Saints didn't draft Cooks in the 1st round to game plan him to be decoy for an entire game (it just played out that way). Everyone in that game was running free on routes and the kid wasn't even targeted. Why should he not have been upset?

He a Patriot now, so it's done. I just don't see why he's being dogged out for wanting to achieve goals in the NFL

That is one of two possibilities.

I really dont see how he can realistically put up much better numbers. He was already in the most pass happy offense in the NFL. Unless NE is planning on not re-signing some of their guys he's going to be competing with Gronk, Edelman, and others for touches.

He'll most likely be winning more, but from a production standpoint i dont see a massive upswing in numbers.

Lol, it's been confirmed by numerous writers that Cooks bitched and moaned inside the locker room for weeks about it. On top of that, it's where all of this stemmed from, the Saints aren't gonna trade their #1 WR because of one Instagram post.

Makes you appreciate colston, Moore, Meachem, and Henderson more. They didn't care about being known as the best or for colston didn't publicly complain about his lack of pro bowls (which he deserved a couple).

Doesn't matter where they were drafted, they played as a group and know when it's their day, it's their day.

I wish we sent his arse to cleveland be apart of the dark ages of football! We prob coulda got one of their first rounders and a player or two looking at how desperate they are for star talent! But Ram is a good building forward option! Our Tackle are either good/old.. Or good/hurt smh...

So did we. But I do think that Cooks will struggle to significantly up his stats. Brady/Belichick and Brees/Payton are very similar duos. None of them give a flying frick about Cooks' stats. Cooks will help that offense be more efficient (which is scary), but I don't see him besting 1200/10 (which is still fantastic). He should be happy about going to the best team in the NFL, but if he thinks that he'll be putting up Julio/ODB/Antonio type numbers, then he's going to be really disappointed.

Cooks won't last long enough to break records.

He might unless someone creams him right after he catches the ball. He runs out of bounds & folds on first contact pretty regularly.

The only confirmation I've seen had been by hearsay on that his site...the most I heard and read was Cooks was possibly disgruntle/felt like he didn't contribute to the win over the Rams.

I don't know what starting Wr in the NFL that would have want to be in for 45 plays and not get one pass even thrown in their direction. It's like giving the fullback the ball on every run play instead of the starting RB. You think Drew would be happy handing the ball off on every play? Kuhn and Coleman even caught 1 pass for 3 yards each.

If Drew handed off every play, for every game, and the Saints won said games 49-21...... he'd be fricking ecstatic!!! I guarantee if you tell Brees he had to run the ball all season to win another title, he would do it in a heartbeat. It's not like they didn't throw to him in four or five straight weeks. It was ONE damn game, Brandin. One game in which your team won by 28 points.

If he thinks he's going to have a 2007 Moss type year then good luck. The Patriots give absolutely zero fricks about who gets what per game, so long as they win. I loved having Cooks but he's not a generational talent like Moss was, and certainly not as dominating.
