Thanks for the kudos, Blues.
I sincerely believe that he could work out as a number 2 corner in Rob's scheme, and would probably enjoy playing here more than Dallas (mainly because nobody really likes playing in Dallas). I would definitely pull the trigger for him for a 4th rounder, and I'd consider for a 3rd, but not any higher than that. His cap hit is around $4.4 mil for this upcoming season, but I honestly don't know who would be on the hook for his bonus money were he traded and how that would affect his cap hit with us.

If players needed to be intelligent to play in the NFL, we wouldn't have nearly as many players as we have now.

I'd do Claiborne for a 4th in a damn heart beat. He's a talented man cover guy and fits well with Rob. 3rd is pushing it but he'd contribute right away and we could potentially fill a different need with the 1st pick.

He's too stupid to play in the NFL? Is that statement really based on his wonderlic? Bc if so Patrick Peterson would be right there with him

There's plenty of guys that are NFL players but just over drafted. Meachem and Malcolm Jenkins come to mind first. Both have had roles and contributed to the success of the Saints. Neither are 1st Rd talent tho. If Jenkins had been drafted in the 3rd Rd I would have no disappointment in his performance as a Saint. Meachem, obviously even later than that. That might be the case with Claiborne. He's prolly an NFL player, just not a #6 overall shutdown corner.

Makes me think of Dee Milliner. THIS is the cautionary tale of trading Jimmy Graham. The Jets took a #13 and 3rd Rder for Revis. Milliner was the #1 rated CB. He was benched multiple times and couldn't get higher than #3 on the depth chart. I've even forwarded the idea of getting Ebron or Amaro to replace Graham. That could turn out to be a brilliant move if he came in and was 2/3 as effective. There is a huge risk though that you are trading a known NFL playmaker for rookie that might not be able to produce half as much.

I agree. I think most realize that Jimmy Graham will most likely be a Saint next year. 2 first rounders is pretty badass, though. I think he'll eventually get his deserved pay, just not this year. I kind of wish he would have signed for around 9 million or so because with the cap going up each year, players will start to demand a much higher amount than they normally would have.

Chuck Muncie was a helluva dumbass player

wikied him and found sumpin I never knew-

Muncie's other siblings spell their surname as "Munsey". According to George Von Benko, the executive co-chairman and co-founder of Fayette County Sports Hall of Fame, Muncie's father used various names to avoid paying bills, and used "Muncie" on hospital forms when Muncie was born. Muncie's three brothers also played professional football. George Munsey was on the taxi squad for the Minnesota Vikings, Bill Munsey played running back for the British Columbia Lions in the Canadian Football League, and Nelson Munsey was a cornerback for the Baltimore Colts.

And yet he has played and will continue to play in the NFL. So who's the stupid one really?
