I am more cautiously optimistic now than I was before last night. Grayson needs to be cut now to give people the reps. Oline depth is definitely a concern. But, Kamara and the other rookies looked good.

It was our second third and fourth team playing mostly. I really don't look into it much people are overreacting

agreed - I was far more pleased with what I saw, aside from a few things. it's preseason game 1 - we all know we usually underachieve in preseason.

Yea our top 3 Ts didn't play and our starting C is out. I think we need to cut Grayson (I was one of the very few that liked that pick also) and maybe sneak Nassib on practice squad. Go with 2 QBs and keep an extra DB.

ETA: Nassib may not qualify for PS?

ETA 2: Didn't realize this is his 5th year. If he keeps it up then we will keep 3 QBs.

Too many penalties on the secondary & too many blown coverages against Cleveland!

There are several full retards on this board right now. This is the pre season and it only counts for the 6-7 players on the edge of the roster in position battles and it allows rookies to get reps. Some of the tards on here think that these games actually mean something to the veterans on the roster who will start opening day. I am also glad that Sean Payton didn't put any of our core players mainly Drew knowing Gregg Willams was on the other side.

No need to keep 3 QBs out the rack. You roll with Drew and Chase. Chase has a handle on the offense and is a solid backup. It is a great waste of a roster spot to keep there unless you are grooming a young QB to replace Drew and we don't have that guy on the roster now.

Just cut Chase if Nassib proves himself the next 3 games. No need for 3 QBs. Those two should be battling for backup while Grayson gets cleanup duty the rest of the games.

There were really quite a few positives to look forward to, but it's more fun to scream about the negatives apparently.

Cut Grayson today and really push Nassib in a battle with Chase for #2.
I would puke if we kept three QB's again.

Chase Daniel is far and away better than Nassib.

Grayson and Nassib will both play Game 4 of preseason with probably both getting the axe as we only keep 2 QBs.

Nassib isn't our QB of the future, and it doesn't really matter who is under center if Brees were to go down anyway.

I was more keyed in on the LB's than anything else. I was pretty impressed with Te'o's hustle and tackling. As a whole, it looks like we upgraded immensely in that position. Also got to see Bighill in the game. I am thinking we should pay attention to this guy.

I was impressed with Te'O's play recognition. It's far better than his recognition of online dating.

Anthony still looks fricking lost. Is he that dumb? He's an athletic freak. Can we not figure out a way to utilize that? 3rd down edge rusher?

Question? Since I have not really paid attention to all of the personnel moves in the off season, what is up with Ellerbee?

We cut him when he started camp with yet another injury.

Mike Detillier said that Ellerbe didn't want to be here and wanted to be cut, essentially.

He can say all he wants, but it was the team that was done with him. Even on a bargin deal if he can't play he is a waste of money and a spot and that's where they were with him.
