yeah, things haven't ended well for him every where he's been.

Pittsburgh let him walk.

Miami signed him to a big money deal in free agency only to trade him 2 years later for a 5th round pick.

then Minnesota cuts him.

although that offense was Adrian Peterson 80% of the time it seemed like.

Pitt let him walk because Miami paid him an absurd amount of money. Since then, his biggest liability has been that albatross of a contract.

If we can get him on a reasonable deal more commensurate with his value, he'd be a perfect fit here. He's basically a better version of what Kenny Stills was in our offense.

oh yeah I agree. That wasn't a knock on him, I've always liked him as a player and feel like he's been on teams with crap QB's the last few years. At least QB's who haven't maxed their potential yet anyway.

let him come play in an offense that knows how to move the ball more consistently like ours.

Hell yes!!!!!!

The one scary thing is that it was our very own Jeff Ireland who signed him to that ridiculous contract in Miami.

which kind of makes me wonder..

who is our best possession WR on the current roster?

man, we are gonna miss Colston. I think Wallace could do well in this offense but he's more a role guy.

we need a glue guy. Watson & Colston gone. Big year for B. Cooks coming up and I like Snead as well.

The Saints have a bigger need at veteran TE right now than they do bringing in someone who a teammate is recruiting to come here. Unless Wallace wants to take a pay cut he probably won't end up here. Like I said Keenan isn't running the Saints front office.

That's just being realistic but I get how this "idea" can get thrown around here

I know Wallace wasn't great last year but he did play on a Vikings team that was run heavy and a rookie QB.
The Vikings don't have a rookie QB and they passed enough with Bridgewater. But I would say yes to Wallace. He is from NO and Brees would make him relevant again the way Brees passes the ball. And Wallace is that stretch player that they miss.

Not really scary. That was market value for him and there were many teams bidding for his services, the great Bill belicheck being one. People forget how good Wallace is since he left a competent QB

yep, he was worth a contract like that at the time because people forget how explosive he was in Pittsburgh. shite, he was Antonio Brown before Brown arrived. Not as good catching the ball consistently of course, but Wallace was explosive as frick burning the shite out of DB's with a consistent QB throwing to him. I believe he can be that again with Brees.

If we can sign him to a decent price I would be all for adding him. Him and Cooks together with Snead underneath sounds lethal as frick.
