I know Wallace wasn't great last year but he did play on a Vikings team that was run heavy and a rookie qb. Him and cooks together could be trouble for safeties/defenses.

he'd probably want too much money. I always liked him though... the last two teams he's played on the QB's aren't all that good.

he was pretty good in Pittsburgh with Big Ben... would drop some passes at times key moments it seemed like.

If we can get him for a good price then why not?

He goes along nicely with Cooks & Snead. Tall guy with speed that can be a deep threat. Coleman has the height, but he's still raw and isn't exactly known for being a deep threat in the NFL. I'd take him, but he'll probably want too much money.

his stats the past 4 years would argue differently. every player wants money. its the nature of this business. dude doesnt command it anymore. might want a cheaper 2 yr deal in hopes of getting another big contract later.

yeah, things haven't ended well for him every where he's been.

Pittsburgh let him walk.

Miami signed him to a big money deal in free agency only to trade him 2 years later for a 5th round pick.

then Minnesota cuts him.

although that offense was Adrian Peterson 80% of the time it seemed like.

Would love him for the Meachem/devery deep roll.

Just needs to run down field fast. Would be great for Snead, Cooks, and Coleman

I'm fine with him and Keenan wants him here

The qb close to brees caliber that's thrown to him is Ben

He wasn't a match for Minny or miami

This team needs WR help bad. It's chief need besides DL, IMHO. I wouldn't mind kicking the tires. I think we could get something rolling with him with Brees honestly

You could throw me out there with Brees and I'd put up some stats. He makes everyone look good.

He could make Wallace relevant again. Wouldn't want him if it costs a lot though.

Honestly, he'd be a home run here. Cooks, Wallace and Brees would be lethal.

Wallace only costed a 5th rd pick when he was traded from Miami, I wonder why we were on that at the time?

Guy has already earners $40+ mil in the league and will turn 30 soon. He may just want to come home and try and win one last time

And this fits the character mold SP likes

quote:

Miami's move was essentially a salary and a personality dump. Wallace was not a bad person. In fact, Wallace never got into off-field trouble, was one of the hardest workers on the team and last year sacrificed his game, which is the deep ball, to fit into Bill Lazor’s quick-hitting offense.

Doubt he'd cost much. He's been universally regarded as a bust-bum since he left Pittsburgh. Most likely he will look to have a short prove it deal.

So is Keenan Lewis running our front office now? Just because it's one of his boys doesn't mean we should be making moves that don't fit
