Merriman and Haynesworth can be had...Any chance?

Merriman is said to be on the trading block...And perhaps Haynesworth can be had in a trade as well...
Any chance the Saints make a move for either of these guys?

I would like Haynesworth, his contract is not that bad for the next 3 years.....get J. Brown to sign his one year tender and we trde him away.....as for Merriman, probably not.

According to both SD and Washington neither can be had.

No to both. Merriman sucks after he stopped taking the roids and Haynesworth doesn't care now that he has his money.

Merriman has major injury and steroid woes, not to mention I have no idea how he even fits in a 4-3 anyway

saw the post the other day about haynesworth and it obviously did not happen...at this point there is no chance for the that head stomping a-hole...who i would love to have on the saints

Yeah, I wouldn't say there's a -0- chance that Washington moves Haynesworth. They still need OL, and WR, too. If the Redskins offered him up to Philly, then he's not untouchable.
I really like where the Saints are right now, but getting a proven DT would make me feel even better. As for OLB, it looks like the team is going to let the young guys already on the squad fight it out for PT.

Merriman: NO! First off, he is strictly a 3-4 guy. Second, this dude is severely overrated. He does one thing and one thing only, and that's rush the passer, and he doesn't even do that well anymore. Teams would run right at him every week, because they knew he posed 0 threat to stopping the run.
Haynesworth: this would be a great move. I'm not sure it will happen, but I think it's still a possibility. Wash is on the record as saying that they want Brown, so a trade can happen once before the season starts. I'd say there's a chance, but probably not.
