What overrated in college and sucks in the NFL? I don't see any teams picking him up and if they do, he won't make it to the regular season.

The kid was the head of Alabama's defense for 2 years during his Sophomore and Junior seasons. If he had been drafted by any franchise other than the Raiders he could be one of the best LBers in the league.

He's a prototypical 3-4 ILB. I would love for him to resurrect his career with the Saints.

He ran a sub 4.5 at his Pro Day and he is fearless.

I promise you someone picks him up

He had a good year in 2011 and was supposed to blow up last year. Someone will take a chance.

Ask SF about how it worked out for them

Overrated in college? Are you serious? Dude was an animal in college. If he can land with a 3-4 team and get his head on straight he might end up in the pro bowl.

He's been very overrated in the pros. Which is what matters most right now. Being demoted to 3rd string and getting cut does not equal pro bowl material. Dude had a bunch of screws loose even before the Raiders drafted him

But but but but Saban's players are NFL ready...
Andre Smith, Kareem Jackson, Mark Ingram, McClain, Dre are all first ballot Hall of Famers and Hightower and Upshaw tied for Rookie of the Year last year.

Andre Smith is pro bowl material, and Kareem starts. Dre hasnt even gotten a chance to prove himself. Ingram is only in his third year.

Upshaw and Hightower had excellent rookie seasons.

Dumb post.

Let's get this thread back on track. No way I want him on my Saints. There was so many things that stayed under wraps at Bama that the Raiders should have seen. They didn't see it with Jamarcus or this kid even though people knew they had zero work ethic.

If he did not play football at Bama there is no doubt he would be a felon by now. Hell he plays football and still as close to a felon as it gets. We have too good of a thing going to bring in somebody with his baggage.

yeah, no doubt.

maybe the Giants, Bills, Chiefs, Chargers, or Titans

the Bears still need a middle linebacker too I
think.

would be a bad fit there. He'll never amount to anything unless he ends up in a solid 3-4 scheme. He's not cut out for the 4-3

so is this why he busted out in Oakland? I thought it had more to do with the fact he seems like a total nut case....

it would be just the raiders luck if he went to the Chiefs or the Chargers and got his schtick together. they both run a 3-4....

and by the way, I'd be surprised if the Saints looked at this guy.

I'm sure Dennis Allen wouldn't give CSP a glowing recommendation for this kid either

He is a prototypical 3-4 ILB, anyway with even just a sense of what it takes to fill the role would tell you that. The problem is his shite is all over the place. Don't want him unless he can get it together with another 34 team first.

Literally the top RT in the league.

quote:

Kareem Jackson

Top 20 CB, gets better every year.

quote:

Mark Ingram

3.9 (4 rounded up_ YPC on his career and what, one fumble, isn't bad considering the circumstances. Gonna be used right this year finally it seems.

quote:

McClain

In a 3-4 he'd be good if he got his shite together, but I don't think he will.

quote:

Dre

Injured most of the season, played pretty well when he did play considering he hadn't been doing anything in forever.

quote:

Hightower

Was a rotational LB, most agree that he played well.

quote:

Upshaw

Yet to see a Baltimore fan not praise his play last season.
