Needs 60 yards to reach 1K.

Currently 14th in the entire NFL in rushing yardage. 5.1 yards per carry.

Of the top 20 in rushing yardage, he ranks second to last in attempts---Cleveland'a Crowell is last by 6 attempts. That Bama baw's fault I guess?

It's his fault for not being 1k already.

1k in 16 games is not great but happy for him.

Attempts. Yards per carry. It's in the OP. Can you not grasp it?

Ingram since he has been a Saints averages about 50-60 ypg. He does appear to be slightly improving. He did have one very good game which skews the stats.

If you know the coach refuses to run the ball as much as he should, why would you choose to judge the running back on yards per game, rather than yards per carry?

If Payton went crazy and only allowed 13 passes a game, would you blame Brees for only getting 70 yards a game?

I watch the games and I see him run. He has for the most part been the featured back for the last 4 years.

You are happy with our total ypg rushing the last 4 years?

3 years and a feature back in our offense has been pretty balanced in distribution with a RBBC. The 2015 year would look similarly to 2014 if he stayed healthy.

2016: 185 Ingram, 130 Hightower
2015: 166 Ingram, 96 Hightower
2014: 226 Ingram, 76 Robinson
2013: 147 Thomas, 78 Ingram

If he'd gotten 20 carries a game, so 320 in all, he's be around 1,600 yards total. Which is pretty good.

With Ingram avg. 5.1 ypc you need to take up ypg with the coach. But that's not yours or the other Ingram haters agenda.

You once again completely ignored his post while he placed the point right over the middle of the plate.

Your issue is with Payton

Ingram has looked really good running the ball this year, for the most part. Coach doesn't really allow him to get in any kind of rhythm though. Payton is impatient...but at the same time he realizes throwing 45 times a game is putting the offense in the hands of not only the best player on his team, but maybe one of the best players in the NFL...ever.

The Saints could benefit from an offensive scheme that focuses a little more on clock and ball control, especially with a defense that can struggle. With the defense picking up and getting better every game, I'm hoping next year can be big things for this team.

Yet, only 12-15 players in the league will hit that milestone this year. Only 7 hit the mark last year.

The only players w/ a higher YPC than his 5.08 is T Taylor 6.1, B Powell 5.5, McCoy 5.5, J Howard 5.14

Featured back, sure. If the featured back is averaging 11-13 carries per game, then you can't really complain about ypg totals just because he's getting more carries than the other backs and is by default the "feature back"

Some of you really need to let go the Ingram hate and appreciate what he is currently capable of doing , it's getting borderline pathetic
