It all started when I posted that "don't sleep on Watson" OTA article. Lester was annoyed at the lack of reporting and has been anti-Watson ever since, even though the article, or me for that matter, never indicated that Watson was going to be the #1.

well, that article was pretty sad. I dont know why you have taken it so personally, you didnt write it.

I understand Larry Holder has to write about something. But elude Watson was in for a big year because of 1 practice was just retarded. Then people chimed in saying he'd catch 50 balls. Im not anti Watson, im just disagreeing that he is going to take a huge step at his age, coming off the poor year he had last year catching balls. That's it. Stop being a little cry baby.

Fwiw I'm on Lester's side on this issue. I'm just not as passionate about expressing it.

People did go a bit nuts predicting his year, but all I was just defending the article, being that it was only OTA's and that it was just an opinion of Holder's that Watson will be able to contribute a little more now that Graham is gone.

Hill will be the go to, but there will be plenty of TE catches to go around, and Hill isn't going to reproduce what Jimmy did all on his own.

Again, opinion, and we'll see.

we're also built to run the ball more, so we likely wont be as pass heavy to begin with.

I wouldnt rule out 30 catches for Watson, he caught 20 last year almost by default. People were saying 45-55 in the other thread, i just don't see that. I think a healthy Lorig could catch more ball than Watson

would not have known from all the OTA chatter about Benjamin Watson looking Gronkesque and reminding us of a Ditka meets shannon sharpe clone

Writing about the underdog. There's the appeal.

I never realized Hill was 6'5". Looking forward to how he does as the #1.

I think Hill easily gets more yards and probably TD's as well. Watson is a good blocker and should be a go to guy on 3rd downs, but Hill is more athletic and has much better run after the catch. Hill is more of a big play guy. I think Watson has 25-40 catches and i think Hill gets 35-50.
