if Collins is cleared and we can sign him this will be the best offseason since 2006.

If Collins is signed, this'll probably be the best overall draft in Saints history.

Why does everyone keep talking about collins signing with us?
Why would we have more of a shot than 31 other teams?

He went and trained in a different city. I wonder if he has a want to be in a big city or different big city

I really think the answers to these questions are pretty obvious. If they aren't, here's a few:

1. Gets to live and play 80 miles from his hometown,

2. Friends and family only 80 miles away to provide his support group,

3. The Saints showed great interest in him before the bizarre events unfolded,

4. Hometown fans will accept him more readily than a new city,

5. Media in bigger markets may be more critical,

6. He gets to play with a future HOF QB,

7. The Saints are still a solid playoff team, and

8. The team needs his talent (for additional proof, see #3).

9. He's surrounded by other solid talent on the line and may be able to succeed much easier.

And Drew Brees has turned almost every guard he's played with while with the Saints into a pro bowler

Definitely could see him coming here.

How did a thread about us signing a WR turn into a thread about Collins?

Very good signing. He was really good for TAMU early on last season
