I don't think this article is particularly well-written, but I think he's right.

WWLTV Sports

quote:

The only three losses in Saints history that could be equal to a defeat Sunday would be the final three losses of the 2002 season. In 2002, the Saints were 9-4 and needed but one victory to clinch a playoff spot. They proceeded to lose at home to a two-win Minnesota team, on the road to a one-win Cincinnati team, and at home to a six-win Carolina team.

Unfortunately, with the way we've been playing, its not completely out of the possibility. Tampa has been a very up and down team this year, ala the Jets, and if we're not careful, we could easily get beat.

I was at that Vikings game, it was when we wore the gold jerseys if I'm not mistaken. They went for 2 at the end of the game and Culpepper fumbled the ball only to pick it up and walk right in.

That Cincy game was reeallly bad. (In b4 "Saints can't win on the road.")

Although what sticks out in my mind is that Week 17 game at home against Carolina.

The Saints' defense had allowed 20 points or more in every game that season through 15 games.

They held the Panthers to ten points, but could only score six.

You are correct, sir.

Only time the Saints ever wore those jerseys if I'm not mistaken.

Honestly, with the way this team has played lately, it would shock me if they beat Tampa.

That's ridiculous.

We're playing at home.
We can beat practically any team at home.

The Saints can embarrass any team at home, absolutely go in dry.

One of the most frustrating games I've ever watched.

I don't know. Tampa is designed to beat us. Strong D Line and a good running game. We almost lost to them earlier this year.

That being said, I'll throat punch a kitten if we lose this weekend.

The Jags game that Karney missed the xp after one of the best plays in NFL history sucked the most.

There's a crack in my bedroom door from me kicking it after that Newton to Hixon touchdown Sunday.

If the Saints lose to the Bucs, I'm probably putting my foot straight through it this time.

I was there. Sammy Knight had 2 INTs that game. Crowd chanted "We want Jake". Just a terrible loss.

2002 wasn't in the golden age, so I'm thinking if we lose on Sunday that it may be the worst ever. Depends what else happens, honestly.

I don't think we will lose, though. We are clearly a superior team to
Tampa. They aren't chumps (OT in Seattle) but unless our OL is literally absent we definitely have a high chance of winning. Their offense is pretty bad.
