Some possibly available QB names being floated around the league are Goff, Wentz, Carr, Wilson, and Mayfield plus dont forget Watson. Not sure how the Saints can get into the trading game without the multiple high draft pick assets unless Kamara and Jordan are expendable.

Should any of these QB'S get released then the Saints may have a real shot at landing one.

You have nothing to back this up.

Aren't some of the QB's this year going to be free agents?

Any player on the roster is expendable for the right QB.

NOLA has the No. 18 overall pick in the first round and the No. 47 pick in the second round in the 2022 draft. They traded their 3rd round pick to the Texans for Bradley Roby.

Yep, and there is still enough draft capital to make whatever trade they want. A 3rd rd draft pick isnt essential to trading for a legit qb

Can I see an example of where this paid off?

QB is the most important position in the NFL. Period. If you have a great, can’t-miss veteran QB on the hook you wouldn’t trade Kamara for him?

I’m not say trade EVERY player for him. I’m saying trade ANY player for him.

As for examples, I don’t have the complete NFL transaction record in front of me. But I would bet there are few examples of this happening… because there are few times that a prime NFL QB has been traded. They are usually in the twilight of their careers when they are traded.

QB is the most important piece, but they come with a heavy price to the detriment of the team. I dont think Id trade our best offensive weapon for one. Finding another Kamara wont be easy.

Theres many examples of it happening but if the goal is to win a SB, the odds arent in your favor at all.

You are completely ignoring the fact that they can bundle picks from multiple years.

The pick traded don't have to all be picks in thi upcoming draft.

That's completely untrue. Teams trade future picks all the time.

49ers traded the 12th pick last year and two future late first round picks for lance. Saints can easily do something similar.

They have two 1st round draft picks and a 3rd round pick, just like the Rams did when they acquired Stafford.

Kamara has been and will continue to be 100% out of trade talks.

He is one of, if not the most valuable non-QB player in the league

Just curious, would a 1st, 3rd, and Michael Thomas be enough for Seattle to deal Wilson? Maybe a solid defensive starter as well?

If I'm Seattle, I can't say yes fast enough for a 1st, 3rd, and MT13. He's not top 5 anymore and he's not young anymore either - he's 33 and the list of QBs that were great after 35 is very short.

-Manning, probably the most pure talent at the position to ever play the game, only had 1 elite season after 35.

-Brees had 3 elite seasons at 35 or older, and they were 35-37. His production started to drop at 38.

I wouldn't give them the 1st this year AND MT. I'd give them MT, this years' 3rd, and next year's 2nd. Or This year's 1 and 3, and next year's 2.
