This was actually supposed to be my point. How much "talent" has Payton's defensive staff completely squandered???

I think development might be a bigger problem than drafting and free agent signing.

I believe Anthony might still be a little hurt is why they might be easing him in. Compared to what we have I have a hard time believing they just want him in the game less. Robertson played well and looked good in preseason too.

But yeah, Vitt is fricking useless. Wasn't this dude coaching in Haslet's era? I don't know how the hell he stayed employed so long but he sucked then too.

But anyways, it goes deeper than Vitt. Payton, Johnson, Loomis and Dennis Allen are all major problems for this team right now. Allen still thinks soft zone defenses at the end of games is the way to prevent a team from winning when the only thing it does is prevent you from winning. It seems like his defense last season gave up a ton of wins the same way.

DL coach the LB'er coach and the ST coach should have sacked long ago.

I can only assume they know of another lie he told King Roger and well...you know what that means.

Knowing Payton Anthony might be just fine and looks better than the other guys too. Maybe he's on Payton's shite list and tripped over his feet in practice or something. We all know Payton has his favorites and guys he hates for some unknown reason. Partially why he keeps his coach buddies that have no business coaching here around...

too bad we don't have a GM or an Owner who will step up to Payton to make this happen.

We'll end up cutting Anthony and he'll go to the patriots and be an all pro

I'd think Anthony could at least be in on run downs or closer to the endzone or something. I like what I saw from Ronertson. I didn't really see Laurinitas do anything great or terrible.

He actually had Fairly slide over pre-snap and then got trucked at the goal line.
