If I remember correctly, was Anthony always out of position last year? I know he had a ton of tackles, but I remember him grading out pretty poorly due to weak pass coverage and missed assignments.

Yea but if we had never hired Loomis in the first place we wouldn't have to dealing with deadpool on our roster.

Did anyone see JL get trucked at the goal line? Im sorry, but a middle linebacker should be able to at least stand up a running back in the middle of a hole.
He ran sideways to fill the hole and had no forward motion because he made contact with the running back almost immediately after setting his feet. The running back (very big running back) is about the same size as him and was running at him. Physics says that if two people roughly the same size collide, one is running and the other is stationary, the stationary one will get knocked over.

i know Dead Cap Space was full go and had a great practice yesterday.
Yeah we need him to show up Sunday. With all that money he should be able to at least shut down OBJ.

I wasn't at the game. I just saw him go backwards at the goal line.
Keuchley is laughing right now.

I don't know about JL but Robertson is a straight up G. He is nice

Just twice? I saw him get destroyed a few times.

Anthony only played 19% of the snaps is a travesty.
He was consistently burned in coverage last season. This is a direct reflection of that; it tells me he still can't cover a corpse with a blanket

He saved a touchdown with a PBU in the endzone.

You're misspelling "League average at best throughout his entire career".

Naw he actually whiffed and it just hit off the WRs hands

Pretty sure he played every down last year. He has to be disappointed.
Why do you think it's a travesty? You don't think the coaches would love to put Anthony in for every defensive down? It says a lot about him as a player that Mauti played more defensive snaps than him. Hopefully he can get his head out of his arse and start playing like the player that we all want him to be. I'm starting to have my doubts

I'll have to watch it again. He was in position at least, which is not something you can often say about or LBers in coverage situations.

ETA: It's a travesty bc he was 1st rd pick.

Anthony like our CB's this year was thrown to the dogs and made the starting LB'er responsible for calling out the plays on def. CSP said in the off season it was too much and they needed to make a change. In comes Lauri a vet with holes in his game but dependable. Now they are just trying to find a role for Anthony. And if they feel comfortable with him at MLB calling the plays back he will go. Its only his second year so lets give him a little time.

That's right. Even worse.

But you can't deny his talent. He consistently makes big plays on 3rd and short, and even did it in this game on the final drive.
If you can't find a role for him, that is on the coaches

That's why I call him Lauringitis because he's like a disease in the middle. Didn't like the signing just shows you how desperate we are.

Gee, could that be the same coach who has not developed one single in house talent at LB'er?
Please if there is one let me know and good luck.
