he's never outliving the helmet throwing thing. I always liked him and I was upset when he left. Glad to see he's doing okay. Anyone know how he's doing medically? I remember someone posting a story about all the trouble he was having because of the concussions he suffered.

To this day I don't see the problem with the helmet throw!! The dude was passionate! The missing ingredient in the Saints then! I admired his passion.

the helmet thing was the worst thing to happen to his career. he became famous for this nationally and it went to his head. never was the same again IMO

He played at Howling Wolf North Shore back in October.He was pretty good.He brought a mini Jets helmet with him.And during middle of the show ended up throwing it into the crowd.LOL If I knew how to post a pic I would.Sorry.

Turley was a beast!! Was always one of my favorite Saints, wish he could have stayed in N.O., hell, he might still be playing....

If anything, he (most likely) did current NFL players a gigantic favor by speaking openly about head injuries/concussions.

Well he was always like that, there are stories of him pissed at half-time tearing up the locker room. Just so happened to catch him in a "frick it" moment when he thought he was doing the right thing. He was already famous for owning people on the field, just be came a little infamous for overdoing his job.
