Why is that a bad thing? Add a dominant D Lineman and still have a 1st to add a pass rusher, corner or maybe a WR if we use the 2nd to address one of other positions.

because it was a dream

Floyd seems more like the Carl Banks or Rickey Jackson type 3-4 linebacker. Now, he won't bust if he's anywhere near that productive. But I don't see a dominating right EDGE rusher profile, if that's what teams in the Top 5 are looking for from him.

Does Jack get past the Giants??? I think they would snap him up.

It depends on if their medical staff clears him or not, but if they do I don't see him making it past them. Their D-line and secondary have a lot of talent, while their LBs are pretty awful.

Ehh, Kiper always gets caught up in the hype. Last year he was hearing Breshad Perriman was going to go early to mid first round a few weeks before the draft, then he said he mid first round the week before and Perriman actually ended up going mid 20s if IRC. There always ends up being a run at some position that throws everything off.

I wouldn't be surprised if some team that really loves metrics takes Jones in the first and throw everything off. I mean who had Peat going to us that early in the first.

How is that getting caught up in the hype? He is only stating what he is hearing. He is not claiming he is that good or that it is a definite, just what sources are telling him. Even then, it could change when someone unexpected comes available.

How would you feel if we traded up to no. 8 for a Deforest Buckner if he fell there?

Not good. He has the measurables but his film didn't impress me.

Floyd literally beat LSU on his own with the help of sidekick Aaron Murray. He doesn't suck, he is lazy though.

hype

Hype. Hype. People start mentioning somebody and he moves them way up his mock draft board. Instead of saying top 5, he should say top 15. Instead of early first round, he should say first round. He always overhypes someone right before the draft.

Nope. I had a dream where saints drafted Floyd at 15 overall after trading down with the Titans. It is known.

There's always a few guys every year that are projected in the first few rounds that start getting overhyped during the week of. One of the nfl.com guys had us taking SJB at 1.27. in 2014. I remember thinking that I would hate that pick in the 2nd, much less in the 1st.

You don't understand how it works. He is not hyping the player, but just passing on the info he has heard. If Jax picks 5 and one of his sources passes on info that he will not make it past Jax, why should he report that he will go top 15? He is not hyping the player.

Would cost us a #3 in all likelihood. I like Buckner, but am leery about giving up more picks. I think his best fit is a 3-4, but could still do well in a 4-3.

Was Floyd the WR that Jalen Mills was not covering?
