LOL it's funny because someone called him "project peat" for last weeks game.

Still think a fully healthy Armstead is better option at LT. Fully heathly being his problem though.

Armstead is already All-Pro caliber when healthy. We would do ourselves an injustice not to try to put the best 5 out there.

the problem with trading Armstead is:

- You accelerate his signing bonus...more dead money
- You open up one more hole on the OL

If anything has been proven the last few years in the NFL, it's that you build from the inside out. Skill players are a dime a dozen. Plug and replace. You build an elite OL and you can compete with mediocre WRs, RBs.

Armstead, Peat, Unger, Warford, Ram is young outside of Unger and could be a dominant line for the next 5 years.

There is no question about this, IMO. And, it also upgrades LG.

Who knows what condition Armstead is in though. He's got chronic knee issues to go along with the current shoulder issue. He might not be someone who can be counted on moving forward.

This. Saints really fricked up Peat and Anthony trying to move them to different positions early on when trying to get adjusted to NFL. It would make some more sense if someone said it was Loomis eating all the pills not Payton.

Armstead is our best O-Lineman when he's healthy. He hasn't been healthy in a while though. Fortunately he's still young.

Assuming Armstead & Strief are healthy...I like Armstead, Peat, Unger, Warford, Strief as the starters with Ramczyk getting playing time as well. Kelemete & LeRibeus as the backups on the interior. It's also just a matter of time until Bryce Harris is cut(whenever Armstead & Strief come back).

Exactly. I think it should be an unconditional release and we should just laugh at the dead money. We're men after all.

Peat was solid at LG last year, Armstead Peat Unger Warford and Strief could all be considered top 10-12 at there position with Armstead(healthy) and Warford top 5. Ramcyzk is a solid piece who will eventually fill in and give us a top 3 line for the next 4+ years

Agreed. When healthy, Armstead & Strief are top 5 at their position. Unger is top 10, maybe even top 5 at his position. Warford is a borderline top 10 guy at his position. I think Peat is better at LT than he is at LG, but he's the best LG that we have. Ramczyk also seems to get better every seek so far.

O-Line starting to look like it was supposed to look. As long as Armstead can stay healthy & Unger can give us a few more years...we should be set on the O-Line for the next 3-4 years.
