A) why is she talking to the guy that just got here and likely on the way out?

B) why is Spiller praying for the man who did not play him to return?

Perhaps he enjoyed the bench. Bills players that come to New Orleans seem to enjoy their time off.

I think it's pretty clear Spiller's pre-season surgery had a much more lingering effect than anyone thinks. He's probably thinking Payton will utilize him to the fullest, when healthier, and worried about getting another shot if he gets shipped out again.

I'd want Payton to return if I was him as well. Get paid $4 mil a year and barely do any work? shite sign me up.

It's mind-boggling to me. I thought getting Byrd was a coup. Spiller seemed to be perfect for the missing Sproles role.

I'd say you're right. He was struggling all year to make cuts that I've seen him make since college. CJ Spiller is a REALLY good player when he's healthy and has been everywhere he's played.

The only obvious answer is that he doesn't want to learn a new playbook.

Let's be fair. To say it is "pretty clear" is just wishful thinking until proven otherwise. One report said it was more of a football IQ problem with Spiller, for example.
