Frankly I'm fine with trading him because of his position.

He's a tight end which ranks somewhere at the bottom of most important positions. A team doesn't need the best TE in the league to be a good team. Hell, Tony Gonzales was the best for a decade and he never played for a good team until he was with the falcons (and he still never made it past the conference championship).

This isn't a dominant WR, RB, DE, OLB, CB, or OT. It's a tight end that is phenomenal as a pass catcher but poor as a blocker. The Saints have a price they want to keep him for. They also probably have an expectation of what they'd want in return as a minimum if he were to be traded.

But one thing I would personally bet on, no team is giving up two first rounders for anyone outside of a franchise QB.
