Jimmy Graham could become the best ever.

Was sitting here thinking about last season getting ready for the combine and 2 things have stayed in my head.
The fricking St. Louis game and how good Jimmy Graham played throughout the season. Imagine the extreme hype he would've gotten had we won in San Fran. He was already blowing up nationally and he put on a clinic that game.
Met him before also, he is a hell of a nice guy. Glad he is a Saint.

I agree. I think it helps he is in a great offense with one of the best QB's in the league but his talent is undeniable.
I think people use the term "best ever" too loosely in general in sports - not just pertaining to Jimmy Graham or this instance. But, I truly believe it with him.

GTFO. Gronk is good too but teams have to scheme to cover him and Hernandez. And Graham is much newer to the game than Gronk.

Gonk is a beast no doubt, but he's also a more polished football player. That really isn't the point though. It doesn't matter if he's better than Gonk or not right now, because we're talking about if he could BECOME the best ever.

I don't throw around the term loosely either and this is what I am getting at. Imo, T. Gonzalez is the best TE to ever play the game and I think JG's best comparison is to Tony. The only other comparison could be Antonio Gates who is always hurt now which inevitably will falter his career.

It depends on who the QB for the saints is after Brees. If we get another baller then he's got a shot.

Not necessarily. Tony Gonzales had to deal with crappy QBs (like Harrington), crappy teams in general and he always produced no matter what.

He was the only star on the chiefs for a long time. There was no one else to throw it to.

It's a legitimate argument. Obviously he isn't the best ever at this point, but that wasn't the question.
No one knows for sure how his career will end up, but he CERTAINLY has a shot to be amongst the elite tight ends in history and maybe even the best.

Hey if you guys want to crown him, then crown him.
