It's really hard to dislike the guy after he bought into New Orleans as hard as he did, and it's clear that he's a great locker room guy.

I still think it is a damned shame what happened with the dirty tackle by Devin White in 2021 that ended Jameis' season. While he wasn't putting up Brees-like numbers, you were still looking at a 4-2 football team going into that game against the Bucs. I think anyone would take a QB going with better than a 4:1 TD:INT ratio, and I'm not sure we ever thought it would be Jameis - but it was.

Good luck, Jaboo! Definitely hope to see more Mardi Gras pictures in the future enjoying the city that enjoyed you!

A publicist did not write his farewell. It was genuine and was truly him. An injury derailed a potential magical story book season.

He was not the hero we wanted but he was the hero we needed. Maybe the Saints make effective changes to improve the team after his audible antics.

I definitely think James is going to get a chance up there in Cleveland this year.

Watson just hasn't looked the same in each game that he's played since he's been in Cleveland.

Good riddance. He’s an awful NFL quarterback. That’s been proven for over 9 years now.

The mutiny at the end of the season was the last straw and the cherry on top of the arsenic and turd pie.

I don’t really understand why so many fans have this weird emotional attachment to a guy who never brought the Saints to the playoffs or won a single meaningful game while here.

He was 4-2 going into that Bucs game and had a 4:1 td to int ratio. He was doing just fine.

But the real reason is he was down to earth and fully embraced the city and the fans.

I'm gonna miss that guy. I was one of those who believed in him, especially before that injury.

Jameis will have a job as a QB in this league as long as he wants it. he is a great locker room guy who is willing to serve as a backup. he's gonna have one of those Chase Daniel/McCown/Ryan Fitzparick careers.

That's a fact.

Just from my experience meeting Jameis a couple different times, and he is easily the most genuine athlete, collegiate or professional, that I've ever interacted with. Will be a Jameis fan wherever he goes.

I hope that guy is saying welcome to wal mart in 5 years. He’s a f’ing tard. And if he couldn’t throw a football over a mountain the best he could do would be head cashier at Home Depot.
