I'm going 34 - 31 Good guys. Garbage TD for the falcons at the end.

1 It's Atlanta
2 It's a Division game
3 I say it is a must win, so there you go.

Is it a must win for playoff chances, not necessarily. It is a must win if we expect homefield advantage.
38-37 Saints.

I will never consider a NFL week 1 game a must win, but I agree... We better win.

Anytime we play Atlanta it's a must win. I like being able to attach my ego to a win.

Saints 28-14

Also, I predict a Vaccaro/Roddy White brawl.

I'm going to have to move. I've been talking too much shite.

I started a now 30+ page thunderdome on the MSB, I'm gonna have to own up to all kinds of lurker dregs of society if we lose this game.

In Payton/Brees I entrust my honor and sanity

Just wondering.
To all of you saying this is a "must win game".
If we lost then the season is over right?
I mean if the season isn't over then its not a "must win game"....right?

Atlanta is always a must win game. Because they suck so hard.

If we lose to Atlanta at home, it's likely that we lose to them on the road as well

no

Falcons will be an underdog at home vs us
Saints will be an underdog on the road vs them

Either game is a toss-up once the whistle blows regardless

It's must win from a practical sense than a literal one.

Set the tone for the year and we're not just playing a lot of people's favorite out of the South, we're playing a hated divisional rival. We're opening at home?

Oh yeah, we better win. I mean, imagine the butthurt that'd emanate from people if we lose this?

Clearly not a "must win" as neither team is eliminated from the playoffs with a loss. But obviously a W is better than a L - especially in division.

I'm gonna say that >50% of the pressure is on the Saints though. So much hype around Payton coming back and a new D coordinator AND playing at home. The pressure to me is MORE on the Saints to hold serve at home. Same can/will be said about ATL later in the year when they play at home.

Agree with that.
