Les Miles or your mom? Honest to God, I still don't know which one you are talking about.

Who? Rob Ryan? Joe Vitt? Bill Johnson? Wesley McGriff?

Could you be more specific on who deserves blame?

Right, he is a nice big scapegoat target. Keep drinking your Kool Aid. Don't mention the fact that he wasn't allowed to hire his own Defensive assistant coaching staff. Vitt, Johnson, McGriff, etc., have nothing to do with it. The defense has been horribly bad for the past few seasons through multiple defensive coordinators. The DC's have kept changing, but all the Assistant Defensive Coaches remain the same. However, you chose to ignore that obvious common denominator in the equation.

They all need to see the door after the season.

And atlanta opened up another WC spot too.

Just threw away a golden opportunity.

Clean sweep on that side. If you have something to do with D, you are fired. Ryan has been bad at every DC position he has been in. Amazing that the trend continues.

We usually do. Had a chance to steal one last season and didn't even show up against Panthers.

I'd be okay making a change for the bye week to see what Allen has to offer

I just don't get how the Saints are so consistently bad at tackling. This was a problem even before Rob Ryan when we had Williams.

It's because you have the same position coaches. The defensive coordinator isn't teaching tackling. Ryan is not excelling but all of the position coaches need to be run up the street.

frick Dennis Allen. Why do yall want to see him in charge? what has he done to earn that? The dude constantly and constantly plays corners out of position and doesn't understand how to adjust them to their strengths. Defenses struggle to improve and players struggle to move forward under him. Thats been his MO since he started here.

With Ireland bringing in actual talent and the rookies looking like studs for the first time in a decade, we desperately need to clean house on defense. If you want to change DCs, then bring in a new DC and let him hire and fire staff as he sees fit. We've been through 4 DCs and the defense struggles have remained basically the same. Lack of development, lack of adjustments, etc..

I don't want to see him in charge.

If we're playing bad defense going into the bye week and we think he MAY be a solution, what harm is there in making the change and seeing if the players respond?

You just echoed my exact sentiment in my previous post. The positions coaches need to share the accountability as well.

the harm is that the defense shows up because good players come back off of injury and we are playing a shite team in the 3-5 skins.

SO we fire Ryan, and keep Allen in charge because of that, then as the season progresses, and we play the easiest schedule in the NFL, Allen looks OK, he stays next season, and our rookies continue to go underdeveloped, our stars leave and shine elsewhere, the Payton Circle Jerk Brigade stays here another year, and we watch a team who could win, lose another year.
