I remember people wanting him bad on this board. I myself was one of them.

Big 6'3" receiver that could develope into a #1. Cooks is not a #1. I really like him but he's not a #1. Treadwell could be.

I know he didn't time the fastest in his 40 but who really cares? I thought we were drafting football players, not track guys. Treadwell can get separation, pick up the first down when you really need it. He replaces Colston which I don't think a lot of people understand. We're an offensive team, and we just lost Colston and Watson. Hopefully Fleener can pick up the slack but you still need a go to receiver. I don't think Coleman is the answer.

You know who else is also 6'3" with a similar skill set?

Julio jones.

1. Treadwell
2. Alexander from Clemson
3. DT
4. Oline etc..

What say you?

Just think defensive needs are much more important at this stage.
Im not totally opposed to him, but we have to get better on defense. Brees can make his WRs serviceable enough.

I hear you but man, offense took a huge hit compared to what people think.

We've spent a good amount of money on defense if you think about it. Fairley, Laurenitis, still have Breaux, Lewis, swann, Bryd should be healthy..

So really if you look at what Mickey is doing, it's either a DT like Rankins or it's got to be WR...
Also we haven't heard a peep about the saints taking a WR..that's what makes it possible. Every year they take a random player that you never heard them talk about..

It's Treadwell. He's my pick.

I think the acquisition of Fleener changed the glaring need.

And Cooks sure came on like a #1 at the end of last season. He was very impressive

I'd put G, DT, DE/Pass Rusher all well above WR as a need

Thank you, sir. Have an up vote.

Those seem pretty similar, Mr Sandberg. Better look into Treadwell again before it's too late.

Julio is a complete and total athletic freak, while I like treadwell, he is not. Alshon is probably a better comparison, but I think he even ran a sub 4.5 coming out.

If you lack speed, you better run stellar routes. Not sure Treadwell does that....at least not yet.

I mean they are similar in size, but Julio is way faster, can jump way higher, and is a complete freak of an athlete.

If you take out all the athletic advantages that make Julio elite, then I guess they are similar

We need DL, CB, OG, WR.

On the need o meter I'd say WR is on the low end. If some crazy value pick at WR comes our way then maybe, but no way in the 1st round.

I still consider WR a very high need, we've just drafted like such complete and total shite that we seem to have the same needs every year.

I think we have a huge need for that second deep threat that helped make our offenses great. We should be able to find that 3rd or 4th option in a middle round.

It's an absolute crime that G is still a position of need, and C was one too for such a long period of time

Julio is faster, stronger, jumps higher, jumps further, and shifts direction quicker.

He is an all around elite level athlete.

Quan is a good WR but Julio is a rare rare breed of animal.

Julio ran 4.39 at the combine. Laquon ran 4.63 at his PRO day.

Put Laquon next to Kelvin Benjamin instead. Same speed.
Kelvin is 3 inches taller, 20 lbs heavier.... went 28th in 2014.

2015: DeVante Parker 4.45, 14th - Breshad Perriman 4.27, 26th

People think he has the DeAndre Hopkins vibe, after a Nuk-like combine.
DeAndre went 27th in 2013.

As much as people think this league LOVES big WRs, the combo of speed+production is the only thing getting you into the Top 15 at WR.

I'd rather try and get Coleman somewhere a little later, if possible

Man, I'd love to see Coleman in this offense:

Fleener
Cooks
Snead
Coleman
Hill
Coleman

Would Fap.

Where is he expected to go?
