3 total touches while Ingram has 26.

I remember he had a first down, and then decided to try and cut back for no reason

That was a fun play

Payton inexplicably has been keeping spiller out of the offense all year. He has even mentioned multiple times in interviews that he needs to get spiller more touches. Then he doesn't follow through. It makes no sense that we made him our highest paid rb to use him like this. It's just another crap contract and bad free agent signing.

I doubt Payton is even sure why we signed him at this point.

He should be in the dog house after that zero effort attempt at a first down.

That play where he cut back inside instead of turning on the burners to easily get that first down on the sideline was very telling of his football IQ...or lack thereof.

I get it now. I just checked the stats. MI was in beastmode today with 2.3 yds per carry. Spiller only had 4.0 yd per carry on his 2 touches. There was no reason to give Spiller any more touches.

At some point in the game they were showing Payton calling a play and you could see Spiller in the back ground shaking his head

I saw that too, Spiller leaned in to hear the play or perhaps if his name would be called to go in and then you see him shake his head in disgust

Is he still hurt? I found it odd that we were putting Ingram out wide, especially when Brees threw that pick...I have to believe Spiller scores on that.

Like I said before, Ingram's outlived every more talented back in NO since he's been here.

Reggie was forced out
Stole touches from Ivory and eventually CI was traded
Darren Sproles was traded
Pierre Thomas was cut
Khiry Robinson gets no carries and now he's hurt
CJ Spiller who was a #1 RB in Buffalo who had rushed for 1200 yards is now a 3rd down gadget player and he's paid more than Ingram and you might think that Spiller is always hurt but he's actually played more games than Ingram since 2011

Nothing about our RB committee has made sense since Ingram was drafted

Spiller was only on the field for 6 plays. That is astonishing. Is he hurt still? How do you pay that much money for a player that you don't intend to use? Put him in the slot or motion him across the field.

Yeah I remember that. It looked as if Spiller thought a package was going to be called that involved him

Payton's been fricking up. It's better than at the beginning of the season but you see these small bursts followed by 3-4 straight 3 and outs and 5-6 straight punts.

Of course the defense is eventually going to crack, especially with that shite show Browner out there.
