Is our current secondary the second most-talented secondary we've ever had?

Super Bowl secondary being the best we've had, would you rank our current second to that one?
CB1 - Breaux
CB2 - Lattimore
CB3 - PJ Williams
CB4 - Swann/Harris/Sterling Moore
FS - Rafael Bush/Marcus Williams
SS - KV/Vonn Bell
If this group stays healthy (remains to be seen, i know), we go 3, maybe even 4 deep at corner now and we have 4 competent safeties. Breaux and Lattimore have elite-level potential, the ability to lock their opponent up on an island all game long. These guys are going to ball out this year if they can just stay on the field.

If healthy then yes.
But I like Smith and Grant as balanced defensive ends that also helped the secondary. Jordan is better than either, his opposite end however is not.

It very well could be but we'll have to wait and see. Compared to last year it's a joke.
In terms of overall raw athleticism it's one of the best in the NFL. 3 corners with SIZE and SPEED. PJ (4.45), Delvin (4.38), and Marshon (4.36) all stand at or over 6 feet.

Lol where did DB run a 4.38?

When Lattimore picks off Brady in the Super Bowl for the game end winning TD, then yeah.

I hand timed him myself. You think it's crazy that Breaux could run sub 4.4?

He's pretty fast and if not for neck injury in HS, probably would have had a stellar career at LSU, where he was recruited to be at.

It looks pretty damn solid.

That 2000 secondary was good but a lot of those guys you named were either old when they got here (had established careers elsewhere) or didn't even sniff a pro-bowl. I'll give you Sammy Knight and Molden though. Fred Thomas was ok. But I think our group has the potential to be better and for much longer as a group.

We need to stay healthy and our LBs need to not suck. If we get LB play like last year then our secondary could be all pro and we'll still suck. Hopefully Nolan coaches these guys up. D line should be ok. Biggest question mark is our LBs and healthy secondary.

Not gonna disagree with your summary of the 2000 group; but which db on the current roster has come close to "sniffing a pro bowl"?

McCray is my hero... retired 2 quarterbacks..
Got paid with them bount......... uh.... Got many high-fives!

With the way Breaux was playing, he could have made it had not broken his leg. Will he have made it? Who knows. But he would have garnered consideration.
