Jimmy was drafted as the 5th TE in the 2010 NFL Draft. Selected 32 in the 3rd round. The four TEs drafted before him were Jermaine Gresham (21st overall), Rob Gronkowski (42nd overall), Ed Dickson (Baltimore Ravens; 70th overall), and Tony Moeaki (Chiefs; 93rd overall). Of the 4 TEs drafted ahead of him Jimmy is ranked 2nd in TD catches(10) behind Gronk's 15 Rec TDs. He is ranked top in Rec yds among those TEs, however those TEs are only sophomores which raises speculation. Jimmy Graham (10 TDs; 1030 Rec yds). Is Jimmy the best TE in the league?

What's your point? Just because he isn't the best statistically, doesn't mean he isn't great. And he's definatly up there.

I've seen the rest of these guys play (except for Moeaki), and while Gresham and Gronkowski are good and started play sooner (because they were more polished), they're no where near Graham skill set. Graham is special.

My only thoughts about Graham is "Can he block?" It's something all TEs should do well, and some may argue, do better fhan receiving.

I haven't paid enough attention to his blocking but I'll try harder.

he did well against the Colts in run blocking, but Gilmore and 76 is eligible did much better in comparison. Overall, the run blocking in that game was amazing.

Don't forget Aaron Hernandez was taken in the 4th round that year. Helluva class.

a lot of good TEs in the league, but none with the upside of Graham, imo. Gresham is probably the only one with a similar skillset.

Gronkowski isn't as consistent as Graham up to this point.

The rest of the field, imo, isn't even close. Hernandez is nice, but Graham is a better athlete overall. There's no TE in the league right now that I would trade Graham for.

Simply put, the others are nice, but Jimmy is a star.

Jimmy is young and athletic and has great hands. His athleticism combined with Brees makes him the most productive TE in the league. Certainly he is the best receiving TE, maybe not the best all around, but for our offense he is the ideal TE
