Jesus Christ guys - it is not the Defenses fault they have to play 3/4 of a game, or the Offense turning the Ball over 4 times.

the Defense is young and only capable of so much. if you want to point a finger, point it at the HC/O Coordinator, the Oline Coach and the Special Teams Coach.

you guys want to shite on Ryan because it is the thing to do - when you ought to focus you blame on who deserves it.

While I'm not a fan of Rex Ryan, there was nothing in this game that should lead to his firing. Offense gives the defense a short field with turnovers and defense creates some turnovers. This game was one of the few where the defense isn't to blame.

I saw rob ryan not put a man on greg Olsen for an entire half when cam didn't even put eyes on a different receiver on 60 percent of the plays. That is unforgivable.

I don't think the defense needs any apologies. The offense and the defense are problem 1a and 1b. Good time to be saints fan

I think they might aswell fire him bc they want to anyway. The end of his contract this yr can't come quick enough for the fo.

Look, the offense has it's fair share of problems but other than the miracle year where the defense was ranked in the top 5 or so in the NFL Rob Ryan has been a disaster. Blown coverages, missed assignments, substitution timeouts, bad tackling, no pressure from the defensive line...it's been a mess.

Yes, the offense has been bad this year. That's on Payton. But the first step before the house of cards starts falling is lopping the head off the DC. Rob Ryan is going to be the first scapegoat, then if the offense doesn't improve I really have to wonder how long Payton has here. I don't want him gone, don't misunderstand. But he's got to look in the mirror.

I agree, but he also can't make the plays on the field. if he calls the play, and the players fail to execute or are so gassed in the 3rd and 4th quarter for being on the field, that also cannot be held against Rob.

I do agree with a lot of what you are saying Sad, but like i said above - if he calls in a play and the players don't execute it, that's not on his play calling.

Last night we got a pick and the Offense managed to go three and out in under a minute.

That shite happens all the time.

I agree with whoever said it yesterday.

The offense had 4 turnovers and 10 points on a dogshit team. It takes a lot of balls to fire the DC and keep calling plays if you're Payton.

I'll accept Ryans termination if Payton hires an offensive coordinator and fires himself from that as well.

I had intended to bash the offense at half, but the D was miserable. No pressure, no coverage. How many more times are we going to see this before we make changes?

When the Saints get a holding call and it's 1st and 20, what is Payton going to call?

If it's 2nd and 10, what play will he call?

If it's 3rd and 14, what's he going to call?

Everyone knows what he's going to do. I am a huge proponent of a committed running attack and Sean Payton has steadfastly refused to for the majority of his time here.

He calls screen passes at the most obvious times. I really can see that he's hamstrung by his personnel on offense this season. That is why he needs to run the football, control the clock, give his defense a rest (i.e., get them the frick off the field) and play small offense and just get first downs. That's all he's able to do right now until the next Julio Jones comes to Nola.

Like I said, he just needs to take a long look in the mirror. But this is not the year. The Saints are 1-4, and by all means they can continue to stink it up like they have been.

I'd just like to point out, that by bashing the defense; one is not defending the offense.

Unfortunately it is possible for both sides of the ball to be atrocious.

Defense had to have been on the field for about 45 of the 60 mins.

Actually TOP was 34 min to 26 min in favor of Philly. I actually thought it was more of a difference until I went back and checked the stats.

There is no point in getting rid of Ryan if you don't gut all of the assistant coaches too. The next DC, even if it isn't Allen, will not amount to much w/ the same crappy position coaches under him. If we are going to stick w/ Ryan next year, or move on to Allen; we need to let them pick their guys.

Surprised it was that long. But, didn't most of the 26 minutes come in the 4th when the game was already determined.

This.

Rob was not handed the keys this year to a supped up and well stocked Lambo and doing nothing but running into a wall but he got a old, stripped, over priced Mustang II with a bunch of new parts. Maybe it gets better by the end of the year but we are NOT scoring points and that is not on the D.

This is just cherry picking an example, I know, but on the TD to Celek he ran by about three Saints on his way to the endzone before he caught the ball all alone. How do you explain that?

And it happens ALL THE TIME! My complaint for beating the dead horse on Ryan is that it's been that way for as long as we can remember. This thing with the offense is fairly new...all three phases are pitiful right now.

More so than the coaches, the talent evaluators need to be looked at. Free agents and draft picks have been horrible the last few years.

Sounds like you want the corner back coach fired? You know whose job it is to die shitty position coaches? The HC.
