$2 mil hit this year.
So at $2M, that will place him just under Martin and just over Starks. Which puts him at 24th, when you eliminate those w/o teams (i.e., Rice, Jackson, Tate, PT, etc.), but will be much lower once may of these guys sign their new deals.
2015 RB Cap

This is a good friggin deal for a workhorse back with a solid track record who is going to get a ton of work this season.
We're talking about Ingram here. You must have the wrong thread.
The numbers for this season and next look good. The last two are pretty meh considering the player and what we could get with that money.
Let's all post our Saints fan credentials you know just for fun since anti-Ingram people are called LSU homers. Went to my first game when I was 4. My family has had season tickets since Tulane stadium. We now have 10 season tickets in the 100's section and have had those for over 10 years. I have been to over 100 home games and 5 road games in my lifetime.
Let's see how all you shite talking internet "Saints" fans stack up. Because my fan resume is better than 99% of the people on this board and I think Ingram is not the back y'all try to pump him up to be. One or two games where he has shown flashes does not make him anything up until this point. He has been a bust who we gave away way to much for and he's injury prone. Also fumbling in the biggest game of his life didn't help. When the big stage comes up he fails more often than not.

so we cut Pierre to pay him basically

Uh maybe we reduced Bunks salary to pay him?

You very well may be the greatest Saint fan on the planet.
But I was asking for quotes from those in this thread you hinted at talking of MI as the savior of the franchise and the greatest thing since sliced bread.
I would imagine the vast majority consider MI a bit above average NFL RB that could be used more. And that the contract is reasonable.

backloaded deal with a player option for year 4 if he performs very well. minimal risk if he doesn't pan out like we expect. Considering the fact he's improved every season he's played.

woo, because you're a season ticket holder you're a badass that knows more than anyone. I went to my first game at the age of 4 as well. Go us.

Uh huh, because you watch games live in person makes you a better fan. Because you know, sitting at home and watching it in the comfort of my house makes me less of a fan. You must own a jersey of every Saints player too! and must have an autographed football, hat, shirt, etc. too

As the lead back this past year, 4 games 100+ yards. When was the last time a Saints RB put 4 games of 100+ yards in a season? Hell, 3 of them were in a row. I mean since you're the biggest fan you'd know right?
During the 4 game stretch where he was the only back due to injury to PT/KR: 104 carries, 459 yards, 4.41ypc, 3 TDs, 0 fumbles.
2 Career fumbles in 635 touches (including receptions).

Sure, toe injuries early on and a freak wrist this past year.

Because fumbling only the 2nd time in his career against the 5th ranked team in FFs is "falling short". Not the 5.2ypc he averaged during the 2013 playoffs.

HAHAHAHA
Remember when the main complaint with Ingram wasn't his talent but the fact that he's a rhythm back and that Payton wasn't giving him enough touches to be successful?

He's basically replacing what pierre would make had they kept him.
I love PT but ingram is smarter for the money.
Im sure we'll draft a pass catching rb
:putsonP&Gglasses:
Terrence Magee would be a great fit for PTs role.
Seriously though. He has good hands and good blocker in pass protection.
