Pretty cool - they seem to have a pretty good friendship working.

seems like they are kind of admitting the initial tensions were real.

They definitely did but it sounds like it's all good now. I get Ingram being maybe a little hurt that they made that move, but he can't deny that it's a short term thing that will give him long-term improvements. AP is old, best case scenario he really could only be around for 1 or MAYBE 2 seasons. Ingram still has his own future after that, it benefits him to learn from someone like AP

Thats what I would be thinking if I was Ingram. Being the bell cow would suck in this NFL. Getting that many carries and hits on you will only reduce your shelf life as a player.

Getting paid a nice salary while sharing the load with a veteran would be great

lol wtf.

i would bet thats how plenty running backs think. i have no doubt they want to be the best and be competitive, but this is a business to them. extending your career means a couple of more million in the bank.

Most of the guys in a position like Ingram left college early(for $$), didnt get a degree, and the classes they did take were bullshite so they dont have a skill after the NFL like becoming a cpa, engineer, etc.

Ingram I think got a degree but his preferred job after football(espn analyst) is going to be a tough job to land. Those extra million in the bank will sure look better if that next dream job doesnt come around
