Have you witnessed a worst performance by an NFL secondary? Could anyone believe how wide open the Vikings receivers were? This is the NFL! Epic fail.

welcome to the world of dennis allen and de'vante harris.

FWIW, even in preseason Harris was being beat by guys not on NFL rosters. Guys who are not even on practice squads.

The second I saw "21" on the field, I knew it was bad news. Sterling Moore (less play time) and Ken Crawley (inactive) better be dead or that was inexcusable. At least Browner or White would have been there to hold or PI, Harris just got plain arse kicked.

Lattimore, Williams, Breaux, and Moore are a fine set of DB's. The issue is Dennis Allen's zone scheme and our lack of a pass rush. Not to mention his inability to disguise the play calling. Halfway decent offenses/quarterbacks almost always can tell when/where we're going to blitz from and what sort of coverage we'll be in.

I rarely saw Lattimore or Williams beat straight up one on one today. The vast majority of their completions were in zone or when they got a receiver matched up against a linebacker, a safety, or Harris.

You're spot on. It's very apparent that Kenny Vaccaro does not have the range to play from the hash to the sideline. The corners allowed a free release and didn't trail the receivers far enough. There was body language of confusion on every big pass play.

I can't figure out why they were playing such a large amount of Zone. The Vikings literally have two wide receivers one of which is Pedestrian by NFL standards. They were streaking across the field with no one in sight.
It was pitch and catch...... So pathetic

What was up with the personal foul on Vacarro's hit? The NFL might as well delete the "F" in their logo cuz it ain'the football no more.

This was very reminiscent of Julio dicking down the Panthers in week 1 last year. Panthers wound up cutting two CBs after that game, let's see if the saints do something.

it was weird how much zone we ran last night considering any time we had a semblance of success last season was when we ran press man.

Well I went in wondering why Crawley was inactive but just assumed Moore would play along with Lattimore and PJ. Not sure what's up with Harris in there. I had hoped we wouldn't try to blitz much although others wanted us to. Bradford throws short and quick release so I felt better about guys playing coverage and their Oline is not very good.

We got no pressure even when we blitzed and didn't cover even when we played coverage. At one point we rushed 3 and kept 8 in coverage and a LB was one one one down the field with a WR How the frick does that even happen?

Anzalone and Klein looked good, Lattimore played well, PJ was decent. Moore should have played and is honestly the one I would trust most out there on the team, he has the most experience and doesn't miss an assignment. Crawley doesn't miss assignments either, like Harris does. He may get beat but he will make you work for it. I don't know what the frick DA was doing. Maybe Crawley and Moore fricked his wife.
