Not following this logic...are you just saying you wouldn't want to pay the top 10 pick's salary?

this isn't even a legit question...of course you do...however there is next to 0% chance you get anything better than a 3-4 at this point for him

I don't think some get that it's an absolute zero % chance of getting anything.

For those: when ya trade a player you get his contract. He is due $11.8 mil next year. With the re-institution of a cap that is completely untenable. It would have come to a head this season if there would have been a cap. The only real options are come to terms on a renegotiated deal with the Saints or cut him.

I'd offer him 3 years, $2-3mil base with some incentives (in the case he could be uninjured for a season once).

You're exactly following my logic, lol.

I wouldn't trade Reggie or pretty much anyone for the #1 pick and guarantee some kid $75mil that could really frick up our salary cap situation without even knowing if he'll be good or not.

changing rookie pay is the one thing that will absolutely get done in the new cba.

I've heard that the #1 pick guarantee could go from Bradfords $78mil to about $25mil. That'll be tough for those boys to live with.

i wouldn't pay him 12 million next season, but if he doesn't restructure, we may be forced to (in which case i would)

would you think it would then be easier for a 26-27 year old running back to get a sweeter deal than before.

not paying huge rookie deals doesn't mean owners/GMs are going to start shelling out more money for veteran players.

The new CBA is about making more money for owners. Owners aren't going to cut costs in one area only to raise them somewhere else.

Nope! As long as Payton is here, he will do whatever it takes to keep Bush.

The thing is if Reggie went to lsu we'd have more apologists. Gtfo amateur football fans. Deuce went to ole piss and I hate ole piss. Once he stepped off there campus into our facility I loved him. Roman Harper the same.

Belecheck might. they are loaded with picks this year. If in top 15, go for it. then draft Noel Devine around rounds 2-3 to replace Reggie
