If Payton out who is realistic replacement?

There are very few elite coaches just like there are very few elite quarterbacks. We have both right now. If Payton wasn't elite there wouldn't be so many teams pursuing him.
If we let Payton walk we go back to the pre 2006 Saints overnight and no one is going to come in and do better.

One big glaring one....when has a BB assistant ever had a successful tenure as a HC? His assistants look good because of him, not because he has good assistants.
