How would you feel about moving up to get him? I think he completely changes our defense and gives us a personality we need.

Then go DE at 32.

I don't like it. He's an LSU player.

We probably won't have the 32 pick anymore if we move up to get him.

I absolutely love Adams as a prospect but I personally believe he is MUCH better suited to play as a box safety at SS, I think he lacks the speed/range to be a top tier FS. I think we need talent like him BUT he is similar to Vacarro so unless we plan to let him walk (which would be a mistake), I don't think Adams is a good fit for us. Hooker would be a much better pick.

Nope. Someone else will trade away half their draft to move up to get him. We don't need to do that.

There are other solid safeties in this draft like Budda Baker and Marcus Williams.

Would love him but no. You have to give up slot to get in the top 10. And safety isn't the biggest need.

No way I'd move up for a safety.

I think getting a veteran FS (Webb, Byrd) stopgap is really important, but I'd like to see what we have in Bell before we invest a lot in another rookie.

And I think Vaccaro is a solid SS, which is what Adams will do. It doesn't make sense unless the Saints FO is convinced that Adams will be an All-Pro caliber player.

Yeah, if he played somewhere else it would make sense to give up assets to acquire a position that isn't a position of need. His going to LSU is totally the reason this wouldn't work.

And even later in the draft, A&M's Evans and NC State's Jones are also great options.

I think what many aren't considering is arguably his greatest strength as a player... his attitude. We don't have someone like him at all, and even though safety isn't a huge need, he'd be the best back 7 player on our team day 1.

I wouldn't hate it. I think he's a more sure thing at safety than pretty much any first rd corner is. It would be nice to have a playmaker with his leadership ability.

ETA just realized OP was advocating moving up. No I wouldn't want to do that. I'd definitely highly consider taking him at 11 and would be pretty excited if we got him.

Safety is not a pressing concern for the Saints. It would be a stupid move.

I mean we think Bell will be a decent player but it's far from a lock. I wouldn't exactly say we are set at the position. I think it'd be a prettt bi upgrade if we got him at 11

I don't get the confidence in Bell tbh
