Yeah that would annoy me. I really don't want a bunch of political horseshite injected into my football. I'm just not interested.
Agreed. I come to this board and we all banter but I think we all use both CFB and NFL to be an escape from all the BS in the world.
Please don't start inserting the BS of the world into both CFB and the NFL.

I would be ashamed that a player would represent my team in a negative way.

Politics has completely ruined sports talk radio for me already. Driving to lunch today listening to a show I used to enjoy and they're arguing that there would have been more outrage if the Broncos had hit Brady like the did Newton because he's white. I'm out.

good thing you didn't, fighting in a public place with a large amount of people on hand never ends well.
who knows? Some drunk guy may step in to try and break up the fight and then he'll be the one who actually ends up getting arrested.
seen that one before...

I miss your anarchist schtick on the poliboard.
We could use some more of that now these days.

I care more about his performance on the field than his personal beliefs.

Every once in a while I peak in there and cringe at the thread titles.
I'm not really into discussing politics anymore, although I'm kind of glad more and more people are starting to see how much of a horse and pony show it actually is.

I'm glad too but more folks feeling manipulated is the easy part.
Figuring out what to do next is the rub.

I just play along with them and have fun. Good discussions can be he had there but entertainment is also a surplus there.

This election is really one for the ages and we will never see anything like this ever again for decades.

Yes, I would still support the team.
I would also support the continued sitting, for the rest of the season, of the player who sat for the anthem.
Millionaire athletes who don't respect the flag are free to move to another country and stand for that flag. I'm sure they would earn just as much in another country.

I'd prefer players like Byrd, Ellerbe, and Spiller to sit every week so they don't get hurt standing for the anthem.

Why does a hat have to be taken off in a restaraunt? You get upset if someone has a hat on?
I'm confused. Is there anything else I am not supposed to wear?
