On the other hand the officer has been acknowledged and honored by black citizens and leaders all week( on tv and in paper) if anyone’s been paying attention

Kneeling wasn't even during the anthem either yet they still booed AND on top of that during the moment of silence for the people they supposedly respect so much. It's almost as if it is not about the flag or the anthem or police officers and actually about race. Miserable people looking to be angry about something involving black people. Showed their true colors today.

That's weird since I'm pretty sure our players were not kneeling during the anthem. Kaepernick has said a lot of dumb shite but people claim to be mad at him for kneeling during anthem. We didn't kneel during anthem.

Players sat on bench during anthem, then knelt prior to as a sign solidarity with Kaepernick. The whole takeaknee hashtag done by the saints and others is attaching themselves to his belief in all the things I mentioned in my previous post.

I'll be looking forward to seeing all these outspoken players during the offseason. Will they be sitting on a beach somewhere while working for all of these social injustices???

You're an idiot. None of the players should be kneeling for anything. You're not honoring a dead officer by taking up the same position that was used to protest officers. I'm sorry you seem to be obtuse but your bullshite won't fly very far. You're a clown and everyone else in this thread who supports the kneeling is as well. Quit making excuses for you heroes, grow up and see them for the bitches they are.

The best way to honor him is by booing loudly during the moment of silence in his memory.

Don't be a dipshit. You know why people booed. Sorry your heros are self-centered assholes.

Kneeling before the game starts has become divisive and players know that. Easy to translate kneeling during honoring a police office fallen in this climate being a problem.

The self-centered one's are those who didn't have any concern for the murdered officer's memory because they were too busy seething with hatred.

Saints kneeled people booed, Saints stood people cheered. Whole thing to happened in about 90 seconds. Ball kicked off none of it mattered and it was pretty much forgotten.

The whole thing on both sides is now just total bullshite.

Players kneel for anthem. People get mad and say it is disrespectful to anthem and flag. Ok. Players kneel before anthem and stand for anthem. People still mad. It's like it was never about the anthem to begin with.

However whatever your opinion on the kneelers is BOOING during a moment of SILENCE for a murdered OFFICER is fricking bullshite and disgusting. Absolutely no defense for it whatsoever and it is absurd that people are trying to deflect from this.

I wanted to leave when I heard the boos today. It was my most shameful moment as a Saints fan. The players were kneeling before it started (I was sitting behind the bench). There was anything but silence during that moment, and it was horse shite. They shouldn't have played the tribute at the time they did, they knew that the players kneel before the Anthem now, but anyone who thinks they were kneeling to spite the officer is a simpleton scum. Guess people don't kneel at funerals?

The lady who sang the national anthem absolutely killed IMO. That was one of the better ones I've heard at a game in a while.

ETA: What makes it worse is that forever that officer's friends and family will have to associate the moment that was supposed to honor his legacy with booing. That is so extremely selfish of every fan who booed. I haven't cared about the kneeling commotion, I want to watch football, but this genuinely upset/pissed me off, even 12 hours later.

I almost left too. Wouldn't have proved anything, but I was disgusted. So much trash at the games I already hesitantly attend to begin with

They booed because some of the players were protesting alleged police misconduct by kneeling while the Stadium was honoring a Black policeman killed by a Black career criminal. The two ex-cops in my section were clearly booing the disrespect by the players, not the fellow officer killed in the LOD.

Unfortunately they did the moment of silence at the same moment the players knelt. Many booed the kneeling which would have come across terribly on radio. Cheers followed after players stood. I could tell many were not clued into what happened and it did not come off the way I would have hoped.

Such a tragic situation. The good guy with a wife and two little kids is dead and the scumbag murderer/career criminal pulls through.

Thats not the point. It does not matter why they were booing. They booed during a moment of silence. Booing during a moment of silence is much more disrespectful than anything the players have done that has been called disrespectful by the same crowd.
