I have to confess something to Saints Talk...I am responsible for the loss.

I know it's the 21st-century and superstitions are considered to be barbaric, archaic, and downright idiotic, but I come from a football family that wholeheartedly believes in such matters. Therefore, I feel like I need to get this off of my chest.

During the 4th quarter with about 4 minutes left to go, I Saint Amant Steve, jinxed our beloved Saints.

My SO walks up to me while I'm watching the game and asks if the Saints are going to win. I respond, "Yeah, barring some unforeseen collapse by the defense I think we've got this one just about wrapped up."

Within about 30 seconds, Stafford proceeded to hit Tate for the 73-yard touchdown which cut the score to one possession.

If I must be your scapegoat...then so be it.

I don't know that I said it, but I certainly thought it.

I know this sounds unbelievable but I actually nodded out and dozed off on the couch for just a couple of seconds and THAT was when Drew threw the pick. I woke up confused that the Lions were going in the other direction.

I won't let you take the blame alone. It is also my fault.

When my family and friends eat something from popeyes, we don't get scored on, but we score on people.

During Tate's TD, none of us were eating it. During Brees' INT, none of us were eating it.

We ate it during the first half, but we were so full by then that no one wanted to eat anymore. I'm sorry

I literally said "we will win this game, as long as we done play realy shitty defense". The next play was the big Tate TD

I am guilty of this exact same offense as well.

My "SO" was doing school work the entire time during the game and came in just before "the 3rd and long play"...

she knows how I feel about energy...I have stayed in the restroom while an awesome play was going on just to ensure I didn't walk out and have the guy fumble the ball because of my selfishness.

She asked me if it was OK for her to sit with me and finish the game...I not only gave her the OK...when she asked if I was sure I told her we would have to screw up to epic proportions to blow the game. We would virtually have to do everything possible wrong.

I said it was possible but the chances of it were damn near improbable based on the way we were playing.

God must have seen my blatant act of defiance as me challenging his will...

I think the moral of the story is that women should not be present while football is on the TV.

It was me. I have never been want to DVR a game and watch it past time. My S.O. Literally booked my sons 9th birthday party at noon at incredible pizza. I did eveything in my right mind to not put myself in position to see or hear any football news till is got home. Here's where it got bad. My dumbass ordered Buffalo Wild Wings on way home for game not thinking the other games would be on. I look up because i here the Dallas game on and there is a today's heroics on the damn screen showing Detroits Reciever being one of them catching a TD with under 2 minutes left . I fricking cost us the game. I'm the jinx, and I'm ashamed. It's all on me

I'm also to blame. I was telling a buddy of mine after the KV interception that if we lose this game now then I'm chopping my nuts off... It was all downhill from there.
