If we don't take a LT or a game-breaking type WR in the first round, I am going to scream.

We absolutely don't need a RB at this point. Ingram finally looks like he's turned the corner. He hits the hole with authority, and is running outstanding. Thomas is Thomas...he's always going to be great at being a jack of all trades back.

IMO, Sproles is the one that needs to go. He seems to be hesitant. I don't think he's lost a step at all, but I think he's lost his killer instinct. His vision has degraded big time, as well. The guy can't find a running lane to save his life. And the fact that he's being easily chased down by linebackers nearly twice his size is extremely concerning.

Plus, how many successful teams do you know of that give ample playing time to three running backs? New England is the only team I can think of that regularly plays three different backs, and that typically only happens when one of them screws up.

Saying the Saints will draft a RB but not in the first few rounds isn't exactly a notable prediction. Usually rounds 4+ are going to be BPA with only a slight focus on need.

Time to help Brees . First, o-lineman ,a top notch left tackle then a ,top receiver, to go along with Graham.

We had a good OL for years and our running game has never been 'good' .

That's because the OL back then was great at pass blocking, now they're not. Brees is always pressured and tries to force too many balls.

I am glad your not doing the drafting.

Saints needs are in this order:

offensive line
offensive line

There are too many people here misinterpreting the OP. Nowhere did I say we were going to take a RB in the first few rounds. It was not even implied. I just said that I think we will take one. It could be the 6th round. I am 100% positive we SHOULD take a tackle in the first round and I am comfortable taking a WR in the 2nd. I also believe CB depth, a replacement C and OLB depth are all higher on the list of priorities for this team. I just think the FO will reach out and take a back at some point in the draft process.

I wouldn't put it past them to make their last pick either a kicker or a RB. Truthful, I would like us to take a look at either Landry or the WR from Vanderbilt if they grade well. We should be able to get one of them in the 2nd-3rd round. First round really really really needs to be OLine. However, I would be ok if they went after a veteran LT in free agency if they had a particular playmaker at WR that they think they only can get in first round. We do need CB help, and OLB as well. And the Saints ALWAYS seems to draft defensive line every year too.

Yea, you will draft a RB, when you have 3 who have to share the rock. That makes total sense. When your offensive line has huge holes in them.

You have very good backs, it's just your line is awful. Get help there, and you won't need the extra back on your roster.
