I don't care about "fixing the rule" for the future

I am tired of reading this fricking take. I don't care if this "helps fix the rule in the future." Why the frick do I care if the rule gets fixed and helps some future team in this situation? Chances are we won't be in this position again. Fixing the rule doesn't help us retroactively.

Agreed. My feeling is that any change they make will wind up fricking us over anyway.
